Artifact Description: To take any easily recognized melody, and create new lyrics for the song
so that kids could sing it, and learn about the content of the subject. In addition to new lyrics, the
song must also contain the musical chording to go along with it.

What you learned about your Multiple Intelligence results (include the scores from the
survey): I was familiar with the multiple intelligence theory as I learned from the intro courses
as well psychology courses. After completing the test, I had received a 3.43 on social, 3.29 on
self, and 3.14 on body movement intelligences. I agree with the scores since I’m very social with
the people around me and learning different the different perspectives. As the self-intelligence
score, I was surprised I hadn’t gotten a higher score because I try to do things on my own when it
comes to new things unless I know someone who could help. With the body movement
intelligence, I do agree since I cannot stand still when I start to read or trying to brainstorm idea.

ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for STUDENTS (NETS)•S Addressed:

1.6.b Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new
creations.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I can see this project as a good way for kids to
remember a small melody or phrase to remember like PEMDAS, (Please Excuse My Dear Aunt
Sally). I would assign students in groups as trying to come up with original ideas by yourself is
quite difficult. Allow students who listen to music frequently try to parody a song that really
enjoy and make an educational effort. I can see it as some kind of final project as making groups
make this melody about the major points about the course depending on the subject.
