CALA Background

It has been noted that the majority of teenagers are engaging in drug activities including some
learners at your local school. Parents are afraid that if drug uptake continues learner’s personality and
academic performance will greatly be affected. Investigate into the issue

This CALA has two parts

Part A: Research

 Research on the possible causes of drug abuse (5)

 Find out the effects of drug abuse in learners (5)
 Suggest ways or strategies which can be done to put an end to drug uptake in schools (5)

Part B: Presentation

As a senior prefect of the school write a report to your head high lighting the effects of drug abuse and
suggesting ways of putting an end to drug uptake at your school
