Today is a Monday, at first, it seems like a typical school day with no excitement.

But I
entered the school late. Miss McRay is my homeroom teacher, every time I entered the school
late she will turn into a dragon with fire breathe shouting at me. But today I entered the class
with full silence and noticed something odd, Miss McRay wasn’t shouting at me. “Take a seat,
Kai” she said with a disappointed voice. What’s going on I thought. Eventually she clapped, it
was the loudest clapped ever, for once she finally turned into an angel. She smiled as she was
announcing with full excitement to the class that WE ARE HAVING A FIELDTRIP TO THE ZOO THE
NEXT DAY!
I went home with full excitement, thinking about tomorrow’s trip as I was going home.
As I reached home, I went up to my room to get everything ready for tomorrow’s trip. I asked
mom to packed me snack as well.
At the dining table with my parents, I couldn’t stop talking about how excited I am for
the trip and what might happen tomorrow. After dinner I went up to my room and again
checked my bag to make sure I everything I need.
Then it was bed time, with my full excitement, it wasn’t easy for me to fall asleep, I kept
imagining scenarios of what can happen the next day while I was lying down under the blanket
with wild eyes open. But after imagining for quite a long time, it was very late that my eye lids
eventually met.
“Cook-a-doodle-doo” it was my chicken alarm clock waking me up. I was still sleepy but
then I remembered today was field trip’s day and I couldn’t be late. I get ready and chose my
clothes for today. I ended wearing my favorite yellow cap, red t-shirt with a picture of a tiger
and my long brown pants. I rushed down with my bag and took the snacks mom prepared for
me this morning and hurried out the house running to school.
Today I was earlier than anyone else, that even Miss McRay walked in after me. She was
shocked to see me this early for the first time. Its not only Miss McRay who was shocked this
time, all my classmates were shocked seeing me sitting in the room before them.
“The bus is coming” Miss McRay shouted out as she was leading the class to the bus.
Soon after we are all at the zoo! I rushed down the bus with full excitement seeing a big poster
saying “Welcome to California Zoo” with the decoration with different kinds of animals in it. My
eyes were wide opened.
We took a tour around the zoo and saw many kinds of animal, big one, small one, funny
one and scary one. I took a picture with giraffes as it almost licked my head, woops I dodged it.
After we tooked a tour around the zoo, Miss McRay decided to have a lunch before heading
back to school. I had spicy chicken wings that mom packed for me. Oooo, it was so spicy that I
ended up in the toilet. Because I slept late last night and also because of the tour around the
zoo today, I was exhausted that I accidentally slept in the toilet while doing my own business.
I woke up again and realize that I slept. Ewwww, what that’s smell, how could I fall
asleep in this smelly kind of situation. As I left the toilet, I noticed everyone was already gone
from the lunch table. Maybe they are waiting for me infront of the zoo, so I went to the
entranced where the bus was parked and they were all gone. I walked around the zoo checking
if someone was left behind but no one was there. I stomped my feet as turning back spotting a
lion out of its cage, as it saw me it glanced at me looking hungry as it was running towards me.
What are you waiting for! Run! My brain told me but my leg couldn’t move because I was too
scared but yeah, I ran, ran, ran, and ran. Lucky enough I spotted an officer holding a gun toward
the lion at the back of me. “Help!” I yelled. “Drop down kiddo” the officer said shooting the
sleeping pill at the lion. “You’re lucky this time young man” as I look at the lion falling asleep. I
pointed my tongue out saying “You can’t catch” to the lion.
The officer quickly contacted my mom to pick me up. As she arrives she grabbed me by
the ear, pulling me hard into the car saying “This will be the last field trip for you Kai!” she said
madly but at least I wasn’t eaten by the scary lion though.
