LEMON

Today I am going to talk about one of the most popular citrus fruits: lemons. They are not
usually consumed alone or as a whole fruit due to their sour taste. However, there are many
ways to enjoy these yellow fruits. Not to mention the fact that lemons have many potential
health benefits. For example, they prevent the formation of kidney stones, help with weight
loss and decrease cancer risk.

These fruits contain approximately 10% carbs, which are mostly soluble fibers and simple
sugars. Lemons are not a good source of protein, because they provide less than 1 gram per
fruit. However, lemons are very rich in vitamin C. They are also a decent source of potassium as
well as vitamin B6, and they contain zero saturated fats or cholesterol.
