What is a C-Pen?

A C-Pen is a $200+ handheld reading pen


that can scan text and read it out loud. The
reader pen also has a built-in dictionary that
can read and define words, as well as a
highlighting feature that saves key words.
The C-Pen is mainly used by people who
need extra help with reading and
comprehension.
How C-Pen is used with
Special Need Students
The C-Pen was made to help students
who have reading disabilities.

Dyslexia
The C-Pen is mostly used by students with dyslexia. Dyslexia is the difficulty of
reading due to problem with identifying sounds and relating words. If a
student who has dyslexia has difficulty reading a word, they could use the C-
Pen to read it outloud for them.

Reading Disability Setback


Students who have reading disabilities also tend to struggle with other
subjects because of their disability. With the use of the C-Pen, students are
able to thrive in other subjects without the worry of reading.
