Brief Objectives of the Course (CIVI 435)

This course covers the fundamental of Foundation Engineering, designed to familiarize the
student with theories and practice of Foundation Design, current research, construction,
performance evaluation, and decision-making process. Case histories of foundation
engineering (success/failure) will be presented on regular bases
It is expected that students in this course will acquire the skills to conduct research with
great confidence.
