2. Objectives (What will children expect to learn?) (5 points)


- Children will be able to create an artistic creation using various medias without a model.
- Children will be able to create an art piece that depicts their dreams of who or what they want to
become when they grow up.

3. Materials and Equipment needed: (5 points)


- Paper
- Crayons
- Markers
- Pencils

4. Teaching (What will you do?) (5 points)


- The teacher will pass out the white paper and explain how Carl Sagan was intrigued by the stars and
the world around him. Being exposed to this type of information allowed him to build a dream that
would allow him to pursue a career that he would love. The teacher will ask the kids what it is they
want to do in the future. It could be a job or a goal that they want to achieve when they grow up.

5. Closure: (2 points)
- The closure will consist of the students saying what it is that they drew and why they want to
achieve this goal/ career.
