As a group we will be learning how to interpret products of whole numbers. We will be learning how to make
groups of a certain number and finding what the total number is. An example is 3 groups of 10 has a total of 30.
They will then learn how to write this mathematically which will be 3x10=30. CCSS.Math.Content.3.OA.A.1
As a group we will review what we learned yesterday with making groups of a certain number. It will be a short
lesson with the beginning being pretty easy problems. Ex: 2 groups of 3, mathematical sentence 2x3=6. Then it will
move on to harder problems that they will have to take a minute to think through. Ex: 5 groups of 10, mathematical
sentence 5x10=50. After there will be a review of this, we then will move into book work which they will work on
by themselves to see if they fully understand how to do it without any help.
They will finish their book work on their own and then they will move on to reviewing their work with a partner and
seeing if they got the same answers or different answers. After they complete this they both will come up to me
and I will have them do a quick problem that I come up with to see if they fully understand the lesson or if they
need more help.
This will be a time that I will have the class as a whole take a small review quiz on their iPad from google forms.
This will look at their progress as an individual and as a class. Google Forms: Free Online Form Creator | Google

This will be a fun math day where the students will be able to move around the classroom and play math games
that involve interpreting products of whole numbers. This will allow the students to have a little break from our
normal math day and for them to have fun but at the same time they are reviewing what they have learned all
week and getting more repetition.
