Among them, according to the blade-element theory and the principle of rotor autorotation, the rotor flow field of a helicopter with rotor autorotation was analyzed. The rotor torque model, rotor speed model and rotor thrust model were listed. After the air engine stopped and before the helicopter’s steady autorotation, the modeling method during this transition period was studied ertinently. In addition, a few circumstances were explained that might be neglected in general Simulation ‘Modeling. The simulation result shows that thc model can simulate dynamic characteristic flight of the helicopter with rotor autorotation realistically. The validity of the presented theory and method is validated by the application effect.
