II. PROPOSED TITLE

A Review on the Implementation of Article IV Section 22 of The Magna Carta for Public
School Teachers (RA 4670) in the Division of Surigao del Norte

III. ABSTRACT

The Magna Carta for Public School Teachers (RA 4670) clearly stipulates that the
government is responsible for maintaining teacher’s health thru a compulsory, annual and
free medical examination and medication or hospitalization if found necessary. Taking this
provision into consideration, the present study aims to determine the level of effectiveness
of the implementation of Article IV, Section 22 of RA 4670. This study will employ a
sequential explanatory research design. There will be collection and analysis of the
quantitative data which will be followed by the collection and analysis of the qualitative
data. The participants of this study will be the public secondary and elementary school
teachers of Surigao del Norte Division. It will use two instruments, a researcher-made survey
questionnaire and an interview guide. The researcher-made survey questionnaire will be
used for the collection of quantitative data and the interview guide will be utilized for the
collection of the qualitative data. The quantitative data of this study will be analyzed by
employing frequency count, percentage distribution, mean and standard deviation and
Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The emerging themes and concepts gathered through
interviews will be underscored and discussed comprehensively with the results of the
survey.

Perception of the Teachers on the Implementation of Equal Opportunity for Employment

III. ABSTRACT

The Department of Education acknowledges and upholds the right of all persons to
be treated with fairness and equality and commits to provide a consistent, merit based
employment, performance management, training, rewards and recognition processes and
practices that follow the Equal Employment Opportunity. As provided for under RA 10524,
Section 1, Equal Opportunity for Employment refers to the non-discriminatory and non-bias
treatment of all applicants/employees to a position/designation/assignment following the
principle of equal opportunity to all regardless of sex and gender, age, civil status, physical
characteristics and attributes, religion, belief, creed, race, family background, political
affiliation and socio-economic standing. Keeping this provision into consideration, this study
aims to determine the perception of the teachers on the implementation of Equal
Opportunity for Employment in the Department of Education , Division of Surigao del Norte

Implementation of Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 in the Department of Education-Division of


Surigao del Norte
III. ABSTRACT

Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (RA 10627) requires schools to adopt policies to address the
existence of bullying in their respective institutions. It aims to protect the learners enrolled
in kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools and learning centers from being bullied.

This study will determine the level of implementation Anti- Bullying Act of 2013 in
the Department of Education ,Division of Surigao del Norte as its implementing agency. This
study will employ a quantitative research approach using a descriptive-research technique.
The participants of this study will be the public secondary and elementary school teachers of
Surigao del Norte Division. It will use a researcher-made survey questionnaire to gather
data. Frequency count, percentage distribution, mean and standard deviation and Analysis
of Variance (ANOVA) will be used to analyze the gathered data.
