5.pk.2- Describe and respond to their own creative work and others.

2. Objectives:
SWBAT + Bloom’s verb

- Students will be able to create what their favorite cup would look like.

-Students will be able to explain their connection to their creative art and respond to others
creative art.

3. Materials/Equipment:

- Paper Cup
-Crayons
-Markers
-Stickers
-Paint
-Pencils, Colored pencils

4. Teaching:
A. Plan for reading the book
-Read the poem.

-Ask students if they have a favorite cup at home?

-Ask them what are some of the things they like to drink out of their cup?

-Ask students what their favorite cup looks like

B. Plan for extension activity:

Well today we will be creating our own favorite cup in the classroom, so I would like for all of
you to think of what your favorite cup would look like, your favorite color, or things you might
like shapes, people, animals, patterns, sports.

-Pass out the cup pattern

-Pass out all materials for the students to create their cup.

-Allow students 20 minutes to create their favorite cup.

5. Closure:

-Have students come up and show their cup and what they have created on their cup.

-Ask questions on what they have created

-Give positive feedback

-Ask the children what they have learned today, And tomorrow we will talk about what kind of
snack we like to eat when we are drinking from our favorite cup.
