Analyze the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to effectively administer and implement an educational technology or library
program within an organization: C

The management class helped me locate local policies, which I use. However, I do not have any for electronic resources so I would
like to find out about that. I use the curriculum handbook to help me, and see what gaps occur when class assignments come in. I
have not had time to look at emerging technology, and my school doesn’t have the money for it. I try to involve the school
community in collection development, but don’t get lots of input; I would like to know what would be effective.

C- I have learned a great deal from ETEC 540 with Dr. Farmer and have only learned minimally how to navigate
the library but will need to practice navigating the library program.

2. Demonstrate knowledge of various and complex processes involved in the successful development,
implementation, and practice of educational technologies:
A- I work well with technology and have been given the role of a technology coordinator on campus this year
to assist others with technology.

3. Explain the role of educational technology and media information within a specific organization:
A- Again, I work well with technology and how to implement its tools to make learning meaningful.
4. Analyze the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to effectively administer and implement an educational
technology or library program within an organization:
B- I am very familiar with using technology as this is my second year of teaching. However, I am not as
comfortable with library programs as I am with regular technology used to help a classroom setting.
5. Collaborate with personnel within an organization:
A- I consider myself a team player that is willing to work with others.
6. Apply ethnographic research techniques to investigate an issue related to the use of educational technology and
information:
B- After doing the literature review for ETEC 523, I would say that I am comfortable doing another one with the
help of a supervisor or peers.

B- I believe this aligns with ETEC 545, which I will be taking this Spring. I also would love to learn more about
reading and how to help students with reading for leisure.
8. Organize collections according to standard library cataloging and classification principles.
C- I learned about this in ETEC 540 but have not applied these skills. I also have little knowledge of the
management of a library, but am willing to learn.
