CONTRACT, WHICH MUST BE ON FILE BY THE DATE NOTED FOR STUDENTS TO CONTINUE PARTICIPATION IN DISTRICT MUSICAL.}

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
 Students will not be permitted to continue attending rehearsals if they have not returned a signed contract
by Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
 Students and parents should arrange transportation in such a way that students can depart the school within 10
minutes of the announced completion time of rehearsals. Students are not permitted to remain at the school without
adult supervision. Therefore, a staff member must remain at the school until students are gone for the night. Please
help our staff to be able to return home to their families and responsibilities at home by arriving promptly to take
your child home for the evening.
 While we understand the need for students to use cell phones in order to make transportation arrangements, the
use of cell phones while on stage is not permitted. Cell phones must remain off, on silent mode, or in book bags,
etc. during rehearsals. School policy will apply for any cell phone use that disrupts or distracts from rehearsals in
any way. Also, please keep in mind that certain maneuvers, choreography moves, etc., while on stage could result
in damage to cell phones being kept in a pocket.
 Absence from a rehearsal may result in not being placed in that particular scene. Due to time constraints, we are
not always able to repeat entire sequences or rehearsals in order to re-teach students who were absent.
 Students should, whenever possible, notify the directors or choreographer if they are aware of a need to be absent
from a rehearsal. Absences from mandatory rehearsals require a doctor’s excuse stating the date and time a
student was seen by the doctor. Parent excuses will not be accepted for mandatory rehearsals.
 All parents are reminded that District policy requires adult volunteers aged 18 and older to secure all 3 necessary
clearances. Any adult who has not been approved as a volunteer by the Fort Cherry School Board of Directors may
not participate in any manner in which they have supervision over students (for example, set construction, parent
chaperones, and costume room attendants).
 Fundraising quotas are $85 per student with a $125 per family maximum.
 On occasion, schedule changes are necessary at the last minute. While we endeavor to notify parents and families
via notes or emails, it is ultimately the responsibility of each cast or crew member to alert their families to schedule
changes.
 The District Musical would not be possible were it not for the multitude of hours donated by our parent volunteers. In
advance, we thank you for all of you hard work and efforts to bring musical theatre experiences to our students!
 If you believe you have met your fundraising goal and have not been alerted to a private, advanced-ticket sale prior
to general ticket sales, please contact one of the production staff as soon as possible. We will be glad to check on
this issue for you.
