Describe your experiences dealing with uncertainty and data in the workplace.

Tell us how
you believe uncertainty or data could impact your industry/business sector and your
personal role (current or intended post-MBA industry/business sector and role).

Uncertainty is one thing that can affect a leader and subsequently employees in the workplace.
From job insecurity to loss of data on a daily or weekly basis and trying hard to get tasks lost all
over again. It can very painful, tiring and also demanding.

I work as a human rights personnel, doing research every week, leading a team of experts who
work with data everyday. It is ever-growing, ever-changing and provides a huge technological
challenge in adapting to new technologies and attacks. One on occasion, I led a team of designers
and web officers on a human right database project…. In fact we had to back up daily our work
so that it will not be lost in anyway to Google drive. Unfortunately, one of the team member
while working, his computer stopped working (that's uncertainty), but his work was saved to an
extent and he didn't lose all. Data means a lot to us here and we don't want to lose it for any
reason as other people work depend on it as well.
I hope to harness my motivation, technological ingenuity and managerial skills in developing the
industry.
