Question 1: As a teacher, how can you facilitate an engaging learning environment?

As a teacher, I can facilitate an engaging learning environment by means of

creating an environment that encourages students to strive for excellence and embrace

their uniqueness. As much as possible, I will try to get to know what works with each of

my students and adjust my approach accordingly. Moreover, I will make time to build

positive relationship with them and make them feel that their voice matters. In that way,

they will not be shy or afraid to speak their thoughts and participate in our activities. I

would like to create an atmosphere wherein my student will feel a strong sense of

belongingness and connection with others.

Question 2: What is the most important attribute that an effective teacher should

possess?

For me, the most important attribute that an effective teacher should possess is

the passion for teaching. According to Sandra Scheier, a psychology instructor at

Kennesaw State University, “Love what you teach, and they will love it too”, which I

believe is true because when a teacher is being enthusiastic and committed to what

he/she is teaching, this will radiate to the students to have the passion for learning as

well. This is applicable not only for educators but also to all professions. If you truly love

what you are doing, then it will not be only a job for you but rather a commitment.
