Sir,

Under instructions from and on behalf of my client Smt…….D/o……resident of……, I do hereby serve
you with the following notice, the contents of which are set forth herein below-

1. That, you are married with my client about …..years ago at according to Hindu marriage rites
and ceremonies in presence of friends, relatives and family members of both parties.
2. That, after the marriage you and my client lived together as husband and wife and cohabited
with each other at…..out of the said wedlock one son named……age….years, one daughter
named….age.. years were born.
3. That, at the time of solemnization of the said marriage the parents of my client has given
sufficient dowry articles to u. At the time of the said marriage you were involved with
unsocial activities like gambling and used to consume liquor on daily basis. Whenever my
client tried to mend your ways you and your mother mercilessly subjected her my client to
mental as well as physical abuse.
4. That, your attitude towards my client was very rude, cruel and indifferent from the very
beginning nevertheless my client always fulfilled your illegal demands. Your mother
subjected my client to abuse, maltreatment, misbehavior insults, constantly reminded and
taunted my client that if she was interested to live in the matrimonial house then she would
have to bear all the atrocities and cruelties inflicted upon her by you and your family.
5. That, my client was under the impression that after the birth of your children, you will leave
your bad habits, transform into a responsible parent and husband which eventually proved
wrong.
6. That, on ……. you banished my client from her matrimonial house in her wearing clothes
only, kept the children of my client in your custody. Since that aforesaid day you and your
mother are constantly threatening my client for dire consequences if they try to seek any
legal help against you.
