 2. 지원자격: 부모와 본인 모두 외국인으로서 국내·외에서 대한민국 초·중·고등교육(16년)에 상응하는 정규 교육과정을
전부 이수한 자

❍ 국내·외에서 대한민국 초·중·고등교육(Grades 1-12, 학사학위)에 상응하는 정규 교육과정을 전부 이수해야 합니다.

❍ GED 등 국내·외 검정고시, 홈스쿨링, 사이버학습, 어학원 등은 정규 교육과정으로 인정하지 않습니다.

▪해외 국적을 보유하고 한국에 거주한 적이 없다 하더라도 한국 국적을 포기 또는 상실했음을

5-3. 서류제출 유의사항

❍ 제출한 모든 서류는 판독이 가능하고 훼손되지 않아야 하며, 평가에 부적합할 경우 불이익을 받을 수 있습니다.

❍ 모든 서류는 한국어 또는 영어로 제출하여야 하며, 이외의 서류는 반드시 번역 공증 원본을 제출해야 합니다.

❍ 개인이 번역한 서류는 인정되지 않으며, 반드시 전문 번역인 또는 번역기관에 의해 번역 후 공증 절차를 거쳐야 합니다.

❍ 지원자격 확인 또는 기타 필요한 경우, 관련 서류 추가 제출을 요구할 수 있습니다.

❍ 본교는 자기소개서 및 추천서의 표절, 대필 및 허위사실기재 여부 확인을 위해 필요한 경우 지원자 또는 추천자에게

7. 최종합격자 유의사항

7-1. 보험 가입
- 대한민국 국민건강보험법 시행규칙 일부개정(보건복지부령 제783호)에 근거하여 2021년 3월부터 모든 외국인 유학생은 국민건강
보험(NHIS)에 필수로 가입해야 합니다. 다만, 국민건강보험이 모든 질병에 대한 진료비를 보장하기에 충분치 않으므로 학생
들의 안전한 한국생활을 위해 대한민국에 입국 전 별도의 사보험에 가입하기를 권장합니다.

7-2. 합격 취소 및 별도 유의사항 안내

❍ 지원시 선택했던 모집단위는 변경할 수 없습니다.

❍ 다음의 경우 본교 학칙 및 관련 규정에 의거하여 합격 또는 입학허가를 취소할 수 있습니다.

1) 최종합격 후 장학 개시일부터 본교 입학일 전까지 본교 규칙을 위반하거나 학생의 본분에 어긋한 행위를 한 자

2) 서류 위조 및 변조 등 부정행위와 지원방법을 위반한 사실이 발견된 자

2. Eligibility: The applicant must have completed regular primary, secondary and higher education, equivalent
to Grades 1 to 12 and Bachelor (or Master or Ph.D) in the Korean education system, either in Korea or overseas.

records, GPA, age, health etc.).

5-2. Required Documents for Relevant Applicants

2011.
▪Submitting an application for renunciation of Korean citizenship as proof of one's loss of
Korean citizenship is not considered valid.
▪If the applicant and applicant's parent(s) renounced Korean citizenship, official
documents (i.e. Declaration of Loss of Korean Nationality, Family Relations Certificate)
must be provided as evidence even if the applicant and the applicant's parent(s) possess
citizenship of another country and have never lived in Korea previously. The document
must contain explicit details on the loss of Korean citizenship and its date.

5-3. Important notes

❍ All submitted documents must be clear and legible. If not, the applicant may be responsible for any
disadvantages that may occur as a consequence.

❍ Documents that are not in Korean or English must be translated and publicly notarized.

❍ Translated documents by individual are not acceptable. All documents must be translated and notarized by a
translator or translation agency.
❍ In the case of any uncertainty about an applicant’s eligibility, the applicant may be asked for additional
supporting documents.
❍ If there is a suspicion of possible plagiarism or ghostwriting of an applicant’s application or an inauthentic
recommendation letter, the applicant or the referee may be asked to provide an explanation. If any suspicion
is confirmed, the applicant will be disadvantaged and be subject to penalties such as a deduction on the
evaluation score, cancellation or revocation of admission at any time.

5-4. Notes for required documents

❍ Concerning the following cases, admission may be denied or revoked;

1) Applicant who does not submit required documents or submits insufficient/incomplete documents
2) Applicant who does not submit documents within the designated period
3) Applicant who fraudulently carries out the application process
4) Applicant who does not meet the eligibility criteria
5) Applicant who is considered to lack the required academic skills
6) Applicant who puts the wrong major (in both Korean and English) on application
7) Applicant who applies to Korea University in an inadequate manner or interfere in the admission process
❍ If there is an inconsistency in the applicant’s name on the application form and supporting documents, it is
the applicant’s responsibility to provide evidence to support that the documents are for the identical person.
❍ A transcript and certificate of attendance should be submitted from each university the applicant attended.
❍ Any academic achievement without the submission of supporting documents may not be approved or
accepted as official.

7. Notice for newly admitted students

7-1. Insurance
- According to the policy of the Ministry of Education caused by the change in the enforcement regulations of
the National Health Insurance Act, all international students are required to pay the health insurance fee for
international students from Spring 2021. The medical coverage the national health insurance may not be
sufficient so students are strongly advised to acquire a private health insurance during your stay in Korea. The
student should pay for the private health insurance fee by him/herself.

7-2. Notice for cancellation of admission and others

❍ Majors cannot be changed.

❍ Based on the Korea university rules and regulations, admission may be denied or revoked for the

following reasons:

1) Those who violate school rules or commit acts contrary to the duties of Korea University Students from the

start date of the scholarship period until after the final admission announcement of the date of matriculation

to Korea University
2) Applicant who fraudulently carries out the application process

❍ TOPIK level 4 is mandatory to graduate as KU indicates.

(However, it is subject to change depending on the year of admission and department’s regulations.)

❍ Graduation requirements may differ depending on the departments and majors.
