Description of artifact/assignment:

In english, we had to make a documentary film about any topic. I did it about the importance of
pets and how they help us.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments?

I chose this assignment because I had fun making it and I really liked how it turned out since I
have never done anything like that. I think it would be fun to make another one since I now know
a little bit more about how to do it.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment?
I think I used comfort with technology and innovation and creative thinking because I had to
learn how to use editing software and come out with a format or theme I was going to use for my
video.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?
I think I mainly used innovation and creative skill because I had to be creative with it and find a
way to arrange the clips I had.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain.
Yes I did because I worked by myself for this assignment. I could have done it with someone but
I wanted to do it with myself and learn how to make one myself.

are interested.
Having the ability to work independently is very important because there will be things that you
will have to do yourself and need to know how to do that.
