Future career interests (if known): Veterinarian
1. Engaged skill
2. Ability to work independently
Description of Artifact ( *The personal artifact may be anything that demonstrates growth, skills, interests, discoveries, and/or abilities
from your experience this last year -- can be school-related or not.)
For my personal artifact, I chose to write about the concert we had with Mariachi Vargas de
Tecalilcan on October 29, 2021. Mariachi Cantares de mi Tierra, which is the name of the Luther
Burbank Mariachi ensemble I am in, got to open their concert. We played three songs and played
the last song with them. We also got private classes with them for three weeks and learned more
about mariachi music.
How did your experience with this artifact change or impact you?
This event made me realize how important teamwork is in life. We would have never got to play
with them if we didn’t work together. I also am starting to lose the fear I have for presenting in
front of people. I have learned that it’s not really bad doing it. At first it is scary, but once we
continue playing and see people having a good time, it slowly starts to disappear.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this artifact?
Explain.
I did see growth in my soft skills because I had to practice independently to memorize the songs
be prepared to practice with the other members.
Provide an example of how the skills you practiced or the knowledge you gained via this artifact
may also be used in a career in which you are interested.
In the career I am interested in, I will have to be able to focus on what I am doing with the
animals and be able to work independently sometimes. I will not have someone with me all the
time and will need to know what to do to help the animal.
