The world should have only one government rather than a national government for each country.

Do
the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Many people opine that all parts of the world ought to be governed by an international political
authority in lieu of an exclusive one for each nation. Personally, I am inclined to the view that the
drawbacks of cosmocracy prevail over its merits.

On the one hand, I admit that a unitary governmental agency offers several benefits. First of all, it may
assist the world in solving several burning issues. Undoubtedly, when all nations are administered by a
governmental institution, the large-scale solutions relating to the conservation of the environment and
economic prosperity will seem more attainable. Indeed, the world government also acts as a deterrent
to unjust dictatorship and financial dominance from powerful nations. This can be explained by the fact
that were there an exclusive government, the ultimate leaders could make concerted efforts to
redistribute wealth rather than solely concentrate on large nations. As a result, this can eliminate the
yawning chasm between affluent and economically disadvantaged regions.

Nevertheless, I aver that the positive aspects of this phenomenon are eclipsed by potential social issues
and operational difficulties. More often than not, the world comprises various policies and political
parties, so establishing the world government may create multinational conflicts, hence fomenting social
segregation. Furthermore, when it comes to parliamentary elections, the progress may experience a
host of problems such as running the election globally. Indubitably, during this campaign, votes from all
nations have to be accumulated and counted, which are often considered time-consuming.
Consequently, this may deter fields of education or medicine from gaining momentum.

In conclusion, though there are certain merits of cosmocracy such as solving urgent problems and
stabilizing the universal economy, I would contend that they are outweighed by several drawbacks
namely arising social conflicts and administrational obstacles.
