In the topic discussed by Ms. Borja I’ve got some additional learning gained one of those
is the Cone of Experienced developed and proposed by Edgar Dale – well known American
educator. His Cone of experience or sometimes called as Pyramid of experience is composed of
eleven (11) steps or category which can explain the degree of once own experience in the
learning process. Another thing mentioned by the discussant which were very important is the
five (5) principles of learning namely: participation, repetition, relevance, transference and,
feedback. These principles explained how learning occurs between learners and educator. Proper
use or manipulation of these principles as a guide in education can make teaching-learning
effectively.
Ms. Borja also mentioned one Quote which serves as a motivation for everyone “Never
stop Learning, because life never stop Teaching”. It is very true because life is not always the
same day by day, every day is a new day of learning. A learning that life teaches us. This
motivational quote is very applicable to those who wants to learn and always willing to learn.
