“National and International ICT Laws, Policies, and Regulations that are Applicable to Teaching
and Learning”
(SUMMARY/INSIGHTS)
In this lesson policies in using technology in teaching and learning have been discussed
by presenter to give us an idea about National and International ICT Laws, Policies and
Regulation which is applicable in Teaching-learning purposes. There are eight policy themes
mentioned in this topic: Vision and Planning, ICT Infrastructure, teachers, Skills and
Competencies, Learning Resources, EMIS, Monitoring and Evaluation and, Equity, Inclusion
and Safety. These policies cover all the important aspects of using ICT in Teaching and Learning
to provide a guide for quality education for all. It allows for the betterments of teaching and
learning with proper use of technology. Furthermore, discussant also tackle about how we
become protected in using ICT and Internet. It is necessary for us to know our privacy in using
technologies to ensure our safety.
Technology is very important for our life in today’s world for it help us accomplish our
work in fastest and easy way, but using such technology need a proper guidance. So that, we as
21st century teachers and learners must become more knowledgeable about it. Generally, ICT
policies is very important for us to know and understand, for us to be aware every time when
using technology.
