I believe in respectful, understanding, and developmentally appropriate practices and.

Always seeing children as their own individual and whole person and always meeting
them at their level of development. This including the children's past experiences, their
family life, culture, etc. as well as their physical, cognitive, emotional, social development.
Once we are understanding and knowledgeable about their development, we
understand why children are acting a certain way, and how to help them express their
needs appropriately, as well as how to help them keep growing and learning. I believe in
providing care and a safe space to all children and giving them the tools to navigate the
world around them and life in the stages to come. I believe in nurturing the innate
curiosity and exploration in each child and knowing that they are constantly learning,
especially through play and open ended environments. I believe in teaching according to
the years of research that has been made and its findings, that effective learning comes
from positive reinforcement and encouragement and not through punishment. I believe
that the early years of a child's life is the foundation for their success as children grown
and eventually how they become adults and citizens of the world, if given the tools, they
will grow up to be healthy, responsible, empathetic, confident and successful adults who
continue to love learning and know how to treat themselves and others with kindness.
This all comes from how children are made to feel and how they are taught to
communicate.
