Comments and Suggestions

1. Mr. Clieford Perez clarified whether different schools' grading systems are the
same in terms of our study that determines students' mathematical ability in
terms of their grades in business mathematics and general mathematics earned
in senior high school.
2. As to the mathematical ability, Engr. Rosa Maria Cayabyab asked if the test
comprising arithmetic, percentages and proportions, and algebra are reliable
measurement of the ability of students. She also stated that numerous studies
have been conducted that demonstrated that mathematical ability influenced the
performance of accounting students. She proposed using other indicators, such
as an IQ test, a personality test, or a psychological test, to make our study more
useful to the institution and can even be presented to the management.
3. Dr. Marjeric Buenafe, the Chairman of the Panel agreed with Engr. Cayabyab
and did not discuss the chapters further because the researchers will have to
change its independent variables. He also stated that the researchers will employ
the same research design, namely the descriptive method.
