LEGEND:

CAUSATIVE There are 5 types of plasmodium parasite that can infect all long tailed animals,
AGENTS they are the:
 Plasmodium Falciparum
 P. Vivax
 P. Malariae
 P. Ovale
 P. Knowlesi

the common medium/host of plasmodium parasites to infect others is the

FEMALE ANOPHELES or female mosquito.

After ,a female mosquito, feed on an infected long tailed animal, the parasite or
infected cells by the parasite will also be sipped by the female mosquito because
this is in the blood stream of the bitten infected animal.

The said mosquito will then feed on a human/other organisms and during the
process, the first action of a mosquito before it feed on is to secretes saliva in the
bloodstream that prevent blood vessels from constricting, stop blood from
clotting, and prevent inflammation, but then, this infected mosquito will not only
secrete the usual saliva but it now have Sporozoites.

DISEASE PROCESS The infection is initiated when sporozoites are injected with the saliva of a feeding
mosquito. Sporozoites are carried by the circulatory system to the liver and invade
hepatocytes. The intracellular parasite undergoes an asexual replication within the
hepatocyte.
PATIENTS Patient angela, a suspected victim,a 10 years old girl goes to a rural health clinic
MANIFISTATION with her parents complaining of fever, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
NON-MODIFIABLE The patients parents was then interviewed and founded that the patient already
FACTORS have a fever accompanied by chills with a particular intervals for 2 weeks. They
had a travel history of going to a tropical island of palawan. It was then ask where

 Detection of pancytopenia
 The rbc, hemoglobin, hematocrit, neutrophil, lymphocyte, Platelet count and C-Reactive Protein of
the client is deviated from nomal.
The urinalysis revealed:
The detection of bacteria and a positive bilirubin)

The Lab Results revealed to us that our patient is infected by plasmodium Vivax. That explains why our
patients Signs and Symptoms only came out 2 weeks ago because this kind of parasite lay dormant up to 4
years, depending on the strength of your immune system. It was then confirmed the diagnosis that our
patient have Malaria.
