 Introduction
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has become the largest
global health emergency of the 21st century. On 30 January 2020, the World
Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 to be a Public Health
Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). By 30 August 2020, there
were 24 854 140 reported infections and 838 924 deaths attributed to
COVID-19 worldwide and Now we have entered in second wave and have
more tha 4 Lakh cases and large no. of people dying everyday. While the
world is pursuing curative treatments and vaccines, many governments have
implemented community-wide movement restrictions—also known as
‘lockdown’ or ‘mass quarantine’—as interventions to stem the human-to-
human transmission of COVID-19 by restricting individual mobility and
face-to-face interaction.

 Social consequences of Covid 19.


Pandemics may have social scarring effects, increasing the likelihood of
social unrest. They may also have mitigating effect, suppressing unrest by
dissuading social activities such as-
1. Diminished access to healthcare facilities.
2. Psychological and mental distress.
3. Food insecurities.
4. Disruptive of Education.
5. Cyber crimes.
6. Gender inequity and violence.
7. Communication inequalities.

 Positive aspects of Pandemic. (Covid 19)


It may sound unpleasant that Covid 19 has some Positive side. Today we
have lost millions of people across the globe but gain a lot of knowledge too,
which we can count as positive factor because we cant stop looking for
something positive or being optimistic as it is the only thing that helping us
to not loose hope.
1. Hygiene.
2. Bonding in families ( especially teenagers)
3. Using social media to help strangers.
4. Gaining more medical knowledge.
5. Becoming health conscious.

Why we failed to do better?

 Conclusion.
Pandemic is a situation that affects an exponential geographic area and
population over a period of time. So the most crucial thing is to evolve a
whole-of-society approach in which communities, individuals, and
governments participate in combating the crisis. Also, countries should
maintain international cooperation and solidarity.
