LIMA, Work and Technology

Ten years ago I traveled to the city of Lima, capital of Peru, to implement the electrical system of a
manufacturing factory. At first I did not know anything about this great neighboring city of our country,
however, I had to start to know what life is like in Lima.

At first I was staying in a hotel that I had just arrived in the city, it was very difficult to get from the
hotel to work, then I began to find good colleagues and friends at work, they knew how to teach me
many things, such as the main streets and avenues, the taxis that mobilized us, what are the customs
of the people.

Something that was difficult for us at the beginning in Lima, was the food, the food had a different
flavor, different from our food, they eat more vegetables and a lot of meat, including eating habits
during the week. There are many typical food dishes from the coast and others from the Peruvian
highlands or jungle. After a few months of trying Peruvian gastronomy, we came to like it so much
that now I especially miss Peruvian ceviche.

Regarding the social economy, Lima was very good, they had a lot of work and they lacked technical
people for thousands of companies that make up the financial system, however there is a lot of
poverty in some parts of the city and therefore insecurity.

In technology Lima has great technological advancement, there are modern equipment and systems
which have promoted the development of the entire city and made it a developing country.
