Function Description

This position is part of the Global Record to Report, Financial Accounting and Close organization - Inter
Company CoE.

Purpose of the Role:

The role will be responsible for either/ combination of processes including, Intercompany Accounting,
Governance and reporting. This position will also be responsible to supporting critical business
initiatives, ongoing enterprise-wide Intercompany project, governance and oversight for AXP Inter
Company.

Intercompany are complex transactions and operate in a highly regulated environment and it will be
critical for this position to provide support in implementation of solutions for complex scenatios. Focus
and oversight required to ensure application of Intercompany policy guidelines, monitoring of
intercompany account balances, and reporting of key performance indicators associated with the
monthly close process for intercompany transactions on a global basis.

Responsibilities:

Perform the end-to-end financial accounting process for AXP Inter Company. This will include ensuring
appropriate controls and governance over accounting entries and processes performed

 Ensure compliance with agreed SLA, internal guidelines, accounting policies/ protocols and
regulations that are applicable from time to time (AXP internal, USGAAP) The incumbent will
also be responsible for preparing and maintaining sub-ledger supports for accounts assigned
to him/her along with his/her primary responsibilities.
 The incumbent shall be required, among other things, to maintain close connect with
customer/business partners and other interface groups to ensure smooth service delivery &
would be required to consistently understand and exceed customer's requirements while
ensuring effective teamwork at all times.

The incumbents should be able to demonstrate personal accountability with high accuracy and
productivity standards and should be willing to learn This position may be subjected to additional
background verification checks.

Critical Factors to Success:

Support managing internal and external audits and other submissions to comply with regulatory/ tax
requirements Build and leverage relationships across a wide range of cross functional teams to ensure
seamless

Ensure appropriate governance including monitoring, reporting & tracking at an AXP level Support
projects to drive process enhancements and automation initiative
Past Experience:

 Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting and reporting.


 Internal control background and experience in improving processes from both an efficiency
and control perspective would be an added advantage.
 Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across multiple cross functional teams.

Academic Background:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce/ Graduate/Post Graduate with minimum of 2-3 years of work
experience of financial accounting and reporting and related controls

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

 Results driven / ability to perform multiple tasks, work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks.
 Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across multiple cross functional teams.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
