Planning for Theoretical Problems

Problems I may encounter when researching How I plan to resolve these problems
and planning
 Cannot find enough actors.  Plan well ahead and start auditions early.
 Time management  Research can be time consuming, stick to the
 Locations production schedule.
 Money  Confirm the use of locations, to avoid filming issues.

Planning for practical and technical problems

editing
 Camera battery may die whilst filming  Have a spare battery that is always charged.
 Actors pull out, are not available.  Stay in regular contact, making sure we agree on days,
 Sound quality also find back up actors.
 Lighting  Ensure that I test the sound, not filming in a loud
place. Use a microphone.
 Ensure that lighting is good, not too bright and not too
dark, use my own lighting.
Mid project check-up (after research)
After my research, I have not faced any problems so far. However, they could still happen. I have
tried my best to plan as well as I can, talking to people who would be back-up actors, just in case
my lead actors pull out. I have also planned to use different locations, on the chance that the
areas are busy.

End project review

After filming, I have realised that there were lots of problems that I could not have planned for.
The actor for the lead role, Harrison Olney, would not commit to any days or times, due to fear of
missing out on social occasions. Then, my back-up actor, Mia Curtis, decided that she no longer
wanted to help, despite agreeing months prior. As a result, I had to change my planning, and
audition Billy Gibbs, it was fortunate that he was readily available, and keen to take the role.
These were the main issues that I faced when about to film.
