We know there are seven notes in the musical alphabet:

A, B, C, D, E, F, G
Sometimes musicians use the term “octave” to describe notes that are higher or
lower than the note given.

Octave = 8 Notes
An octave is a series of 8 notes, starting with the same note and ending with the
same note. For example this C to C is one octave:

And this C to C is two octaves:

As an exercise, keep jumping from octave to octave until you have a good feel for
your keyboard and can quickly spot octaves, starting from a single note.
