There is SO much more to the piano than clinking the keys. You are what makes
music magical, so it’s important that you learn musicality. There is no recipe or
professional method of learning musicality. But, there are a few tips and
overlooked tricks that I’m gonna pass onto you in this lesson.

Story
The best way to make music is to feel the
music. You’re not just playing notes on the
piano to make a song, you’re telling a story.
Some stories are fun and happy. Some are
scary and loud. Some are soft and romantic.
Dynamics, like we talked about earlier, can
play a huge part in making your music come
alive.

Breaking & Brushing the Keys

Another thing to keep in mind, is that there is a huge difference between breaking
and brushing the keys. Instead of just plunking the keys and playing them as hard
as you possibly can, practice sinking into them and even brushing them. This will
make a noticeable difference in your music.
All of these things will help your music sound so much better, and will help your
musical songs or stories come alive. Always remember the story of music, and
your own music will become so much more.
