Ambo (baldo’s seven years old brother)

3. SETTING – Sunrise at Nagrebcan. House of Baldo near in the cornfields and tabacco
fields where the katangayan hills is visible.

4. TONE AND ATMOSPHERE – I think the narrator shows sadness because in the story the
puppy died and that caused sadness to the two boys.

5. SYMBOLS – Morning in Nagrebcan or Sunrise means new beginning.

6. IRONY – The author uses dramatically, because in pleasant morning or day turns out
into a misunderstanding and that caused the puppy to death from the hands of a bad
man.

7. THEME – I think the theme of the story portrays that there are still parents who abuse
their child. But in reality, parents should love their child unconditionally what ever
happens.
