ALUMINUM WINDOWS / WOODEN, METAL DOORS & TOILET PARTITIONS

Aluminum Windows/ Wooden & Metal , bullet proof Doors shall be stacked upright (on their
sills) on level ground preferably on wooden battens and shall not come in contact with dirt or
ashes.

 If received in crates they shall be stacked according to manufacturer’s instructions and


removed from the crates as and when required for the work.
 Needs dry & flat space, sheltered store preferred.
 Metal Leafs/ frames of doors, windows shall be stacked upside down with the kick plates
at the top.
 These shall not be allowed to stand for long in this manner before being fixed so as to
avoid the door frames getting out of shape and hinges being strained and shutters
drooping.
 During the period of storage of wooden / metal doors, windows, these shall be protected
by suitable covering, such as tarpaulin. The tarpaulin shall be hung loosely on temporary
framing to permit circulation of air to prevent moisture condensation.
 Lift and carry prefinished materials. DO NOT DRAG
 If packaging becomes wet, remove windows, repack them and move to a dry location
 At all times, precautions must be taken to protect the factory finish on Hope’s windows
and doors against scratching, marring or chipping. Repairs must be made promptly to
prevent rusting of exposed metal
 Toilet partitions should be stored in wooden box in under roof store in flat floor.
