NOTICE TO UNIVERSITY OF MAURITIUS (UoM) ALUMNI


China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarships at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) –
Academic Year 2022/2023
The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is offering three(3) CSC (China Scholarship Council) Scholarships to UoM students to pursue
either a Master’s Programme (2 years’ duration) or a PhD Programme (4 years’ duration) at BIT in the Academic Year 2022/2023,
starting on 1st September 2022.

The Terms and Conditions of the Scholarships are as follows:

Eligibility:

 For Masters Programmes: The Scholarships are open to:


(i) Applicants who are under the age of 35 years;
(ii) Applicants holding a Bachelor degree or the equivalent educational background of a Bachelor degree;
(iii) MBA applicants should have at least one year of related working or internship experience.

 For PhD Programmes: The Scholarships are open to:


(i) Applicants who are under the age of 40;
(ii) Holders of a Master’s degree in the same major or in the relative field of interest or the equivalent educational background
of a Master’s degree.
The CSC Scholarship will cover costs of the Tuition Fees of BIT, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and the monthly
stipend (CNY 3000 for Masters and CNY 3500 for PhDs). Applicants will have to pay for the Application Fee of 600 CNY
(non-refundable), their airfares (two-way trips) and any other costs, to be incurred during their stay.

Applicants are strongly requested to consult the following attached documents:


(i) The CSC Scholarship Proposal for International Students from University of Mauritius. (see Annex 1)
(ii) BIT Admission Book 2022 (see Annex 2).

Interested Candidates should include the following details when submitting their application letter to The Student Welfare Office,
Room 7.14, 7th Floor, Academic Complex Tower Block, University of Mauritius, Reduit by Friday 11 February 2022 at latest:
(i) Their nationality, date of birth, age, e-mail address, mobile number, occupation, preferred language of instruction and
proficiency of preferred language of instruction.
(ii) For those applying for Masters Programmes, to include:
(a) Name of Master’s Programme applying for.
(b) A copy of their Undergraduate Award Certificate and the date of obtaining the degree.
(c) A copy of their transcript, including the CPA of the last Academic Year of the studies.
(iii) For those applying for PhD Programmes, to include:
(a) Name of PhD programme applying for.
(b) A copy of their Master Degree Award Certificate and the date of obtaining the Master’s degree.

All nominated students will be contacted by BIT and they will be informed of the online application procedures.
NOTE: Incomplete/Late Applications will not be considered.
