NOC Change Codes

A Notification of Change (NOC) is a convenient way for a receiving bank to notify ACH Originators of a correction needed
for future transactions. The receiving bank has accepted the original transaction and has manually fixed the incorrect
information. When you receive an NOC, make the correction right away and before sending the next transaction – this helps
the receiving bank post the transaction without manual intervention. If an NOC correction is not made, the receiving bank
may start “returning” the transaction to you instead. That will be more inconvenient because it delays your transaction from
reaching its destination account. Failure to correct files based on NOCs is subject to financial penalties.

Common NOC Change Codes
