QUICKGUIDE
The following pages describe a summary of the basic operations that can be performed from
the AEQ Phoenix Lite application.

1. START APPLICATION

User must verify that iPhone unit has good 3G coverage (and associated data plan activated.
For more information see your telecom provider) or is connected to a WiFi network.

To start the application user needs to simply press the AEQ Phoenix Lite icon on the main
iPhone desktop.

2. INITIAL CONFIGURATION

Following the procedure described in this paragraph is mandatory ONLY the first time
that AEQ Phoenix PC application is used.

Once AppStore download is complete, AEQ Phoenix Lite is successfully installed in the present
iPhone device, although it is still not ready to be used at all.

or any AEQ authorized dealer (http://www.aeq.es/eng/distribuidores.htm) where the AEQ
Phoenix Lite application has been purchased in order to get the required data relating to:
• USER ID, identifier for the application in AEQ SIP Server.
• PASSWORD, the password associated to that identifier. This password, together
with the user name, is a guarantee of security during the SIP registration phase.

These two parameters should be introduced every time one remote unit contact is created in the
proper submenu screen STREAM TO of Phoenix Lite, that you can find pressing over the first
line of the main blue screen.

3. ESTABLISH A CONNECTION

To establish a connection just follow these two simple steps:

• Create a new remote equipment contact in the submenu STREAM TO of Phoenix Lite
or use pre-created one pressing in the first line of the main blue screen.
• Launch the connection pressing the Connect_to_Remote_Equipment button (right one
with an antenna icon inside). When connection is created, this button change to red
colour.

To complete connection, please press Local_Audio_Source_Activation button (represented with


one microphone icon inside that change to red), and this moment AEQ Phoenix Lite starts to
send audio to remote unit and the full-duplex connection is opened, so you receive also audio
from remote equipment. Once this happens, If you don’t like to send more local audio is
possible to OFF this local audio just pressing again Local_Audio_Source_Activation button
(change to default grey colour), without affecting now received audio stream from remote unit.

• In this situation, several different actions are possible inside AEQ Phoenix Lite:
o Send local audio from local source, pressing Local_Audio_Source_Activation
button.
o Play pre-recorded local audio file, pressing PLAY button.
o Record audio pressing REC button.
o Whatever combination of the previous points.

AEQ provides a PHOENIX STUDIO unit permanently available (24x7 with music) for
testing with URI phoenixMaster@sip.aeq.es (IP address: 212.170.163.189) as well as a SIP
server operating under the official standard (IP address 82.165.157.20).

4. END A CONNECTION

To end a connection, simply press Connect_to_Remote_Equipment button, and it will pass from
active status (red colour) to un-active status (default grey colour). AEQ Phoenix Lite is now
ready to establish a new connection.
