viable DRUCKER THOMPSON A (Drucker Thompson 2003a)

An actual feasibility study is a step in which information is gathered to determine whether or not certain
concepts will work, whether or not there is a sizable market for the proposed product or service, what
type of investment would be required, and where the cash will come from. It also determines whether
the requisite technological know-how to turn the idea into a concrete product is available, the likelihood
of environmental harm produced by the business or product, and whether the cost of repairing
environmental damage is within acceptable boundaries, among other things.

A feasibility study, according to Overton (2007:7), is intended to determine the viability of a proposed
project, product or service.
