Globalization is difficult to break down, but globalization is affecting almost every

country at the same time. Globalization promotes the creation of an actual world society in which

people are highly interconnected. Globalization not only means sharing a high-tech culture but

also the adoption of such ideas and concepts. The propagation of these ideas and ideals cannot

inevitably minimize cultural diversity. However, above all, globalization is an institutional

phenomenon that leads to the establishment of a world society governed by a common set of

standards. Globalization encourages unity around collecting ideas and laws and promotes a

global culture identity, that is to say, beliefs and values. Culture is one part of globalization that

has been adversely impacted.

Globalization is becoming an overwhelming global theme. Indeed, globalization is not

just homogenization; it improves cultural identity, however. First, people are not only cultural

artifacts but subjects that can oppose or integrate culture. Furthermore, people are closer than

ever with the advancement of science and technology. The sense of 'gathering' brought on by

globalization does not contradict diversity. In the modern age of globalization, the distinctive

characteristics and characteristics of their society are increasingly concerned. Cultural identity

offers local awareness and personal identity, culture, and the country as a whole. Globalization

represents the ideology of integration and hegemonic power in terms of research, technology,

and economic growth, yet it encourages cultural identity more profoundly. As globalization is

perceived as a whole, the world is much more dynamic and linked.

A critical dimension of the debate between cosmopolitanism and patriotism is the human

cultural identity. Since people see the country as vital to achieving social justice, freedom, and

group unity, some are concerned that the cosmopolitan people detach themselves from their

national identity and their interest in the nation's welfare. By comparison, cosmopolitans see
national identity as a barrier to create a sense of global citizenship that is important to empower

the individual to care for worldwide justice and all fellow humans' well-being. People sometimes

underestimate the various essence of the cultural identity of individuals. Dominant models

suggest mutually exclusive cosmopolitan and national identities. This dichotomous

representation of cosmopolitan and national identities nevertheless represents an unrealistic

image of social identity psychology. Individuals have many social identities and use cognitive

instruments to handle the different tasks related to them. Individuals who describe themselves as

cosmopolitan world people have an integrated dual identity, embodying both nationalism and

cosmopolitanism, consistent with patriot responsibilities.

Global culture has had a tremendous impact on the definition and recognition of cultural

identities. Global culture has had a positive effect on citizens' quality of life, evidenced by the

rapid movement of people, goods, and knowledge around the world. On the contrary, the

recognition of multicultural identity has negative impacts. There is the erosion of the local

culture and the spread and adoption of the dominant culture. Some people who embrace multiple

cultures are faced with problems associated with racial discrimination, especially if they are not

natives. The Irish culture is gaining popularity, overshadowing other cultures. Multicultural

identity and global culture hinder the identification and recognition of separate cultures as the

global culture is embraced.

Globalization also impacts identity and general cultural practices in both positive and

negative ways. Technology enables people to remove interaction barriers and communicate

globally. Globalization allows the world to be identical culturally. People are no longer limited to

space locations and can communicate with people who share a common culture, dialect, or faith.

Several people around the world have adopted Irish culture and music. While some think it is
advantageous, others are against it. Globalization has led to the erosion of culture in developing

countries. People are now failing to listen to their music, advancing other people’s culture. In an

age of globalization, sociocultural systems evolve and change how people act and think.

In the world of ever-expanding global influence, race continues to unravel with the

confusion of terms like ethnicity and culture being experienced. The race is described as "a

human group that shares similar physical characteristics. The word "ethnicity" is more widely

analyzed in terms of "large groups classified by their racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic

or cultural background. Ethnic origin also determines a person's cultural values. The word is

often mistaken for a culture that is a lifestyle for a group of individuals. It describes the attitudes,

opinions, values, and symbols people usually adopt, without a thought regarding them, and

transmitted from one generation to another through interaction and emulation. One is born with

ethnicity, but culture is learned when cultural values are impacted in the person. One can choose

either to embrace culture or to adopt another depending on the environment. Ethnicity, race, and

culture contribute to a person's identity and should be recognized without discrimination.

Globalization has impacted the spread of ideas and ideologies, which have helped the

spread and tensions between the major religious denominations such as Christianity and Islam.

Some people who moved to the United States in search of better lives and to earn a living

brought Islam to the country, which originated from the Middle East. Despite being citizens of

the United States, some Muslims have been accused and religiously abused due to the alleged

affiliations with terrorists. The presence of modern means of communication and infrastructure

have aided in the spread of religious ideology. The effects of globalization cannot be tied to

economic growth only but also with the change in cultural beliefs in terms of religion.
