Dear honorable members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod,

Greetings!

Since its construction in 2015, the BRC-Palawan International Circuit has offered great
opportunities for motorsports enthusiasts not only in our city but also in the whole country by
conducting various sport clinic events and racing tournaments for motorbikes and other motor
vehicles. It has also promoted road safety consciousness among our local riders by providing
them with a safe and secure environment to conduct their activities, so much so that it has
significantly deterred racing along the public roads and national highways. It has provided our
group of riders and local race enthusiasts alike safe space and venue to conduct our sport. This
has significantly prevented motorcycle incidents that would result to injuries and deaths not only
among the racers but also to the public.

However, it has brought great dismay on our part when we learned of the news that motorcycles
have been prohibited to conduct ride sessions at the BRC-Palawan International Circuit, Barangay
Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City. We are of the understanding that the City Council Resolution
No. 1159-2015 does not equate to an Ordinance. However, this said Resolution has become our
inspiration as racers, since we knew in our hearts that the City Government truly recognized and
still recognizes our passion for this sport.

In line with this, our community of riders and enthusiasts are humbly writing this Petition Letter,
with the plea to ALLOW us motorsport riders to continue doing ride sessions at the BRC-Palawan
International Circuit. We commit ourselves to follow whatever will be the result of the
compromise agreement between the BRC Management and the nearby resident complainant/s,
should there be any.

We are sincerely hoping for your kind consideration. Rest assured that all signatories found in
this Petition Letter will have your full and utmost support on your future endeavors in this City;
all we humbly ask is that you listen to our plea.
