1. Simulating flight training for pilots. Since training using the real equipment is very expensive
it can be useful to simulate training environments using AR so the pilots can still learn from
near real-life experiences. (Wilcockson, 2022)
2. The use of Microsoft’s HoloLens by the U.S. Army. Via this, the soldiers can fight, train and
rehearse in one system. Another article that was mentioned in our source has said that US
soldiers and marines could be seen wearing such AR headsets in the battlefront by 2021.
They can get up-to-date, real-time information about their own mission and critical
information about the enemy and the mission displayed on these glasses, which makes
everything way more efficient. (Beatrice, 2021)
3. AR can aid in helping people recover from the effects of PTSD. Using virtual reality, people
can be exposed to the things that trigger their PTSD in a safer environment and learn to
control the effects they suffer from. (Tull, 2020)
4. The US army uses VR games to train soldiers. The use of videogames makes them learn
faster from common mistakes and gives them experience. Videogames such as VBS2,
Tactical Iraqi, Virtual Reality Combat Training and others. (6 Military Video Games Used to
Train Troops on the Battlefield, 2017)
