MELC: Assess selected community-action initiatives based on its core values and principles

3. Sustainability – This value connotes that the people should have the capacity to
assess or acquire the basic needs of life such as food, shelter, health and security.
Availability of these basic needs is community development in action. People will, with
the availability of these; be able to sustain the community development process or
program.
Six principles of community action initiatives:

Directions: Read and analyzed the questions carefully and answer the following
questions.
1.In your own opinion, what are the advantages in doing partnership?
2. There are six very important principles of community action initiatives; If you are
a leader in a certain community what is your priority among the six and why?
4. Choose 2 ideal community development activities or program from the lists. State
its importance in community initiatives.
