Fuel Monitoring Parameter Setting V13.

1 Nov 2013
GP600 Fuel monitoring Parameter Setting Instruction

1. Test the voltage of fuel gauge signal cable

Note: Vehicle engine must be ON when testing the voltage
Find out the right the right gauge signal cable:
The one that has different voltage when the tank is full and empty.
Test and record the voltage when tank is full and empty

2. Switch setting
As the working voltage of the GPS processor is 3.3V, so after connecting with the GPS, the tank signal
voltage needs to be close to but less than 3.3V before setting. For example, if the voltage is 8V when
tank is empty and it’s 12V when tank is full, users need to convert the higher voltage 12V into about 3.3V.
That is to make it to 1/4, which can be converted via the 4 switches on the PCB board.

The higher voltage of signal cable can be when the tank is full or empty. It depends on different vehicle
model. Please measure the highest voltage and convert it into 3.3V or less(≤3.3V) , then set the 4
switches as above table shows

3. parameter setting steps

(NOTE: please dial *9#91# to activate the fuel monitoring function before setting
and keep vehicle engine ON during the setting process)
a) When the fuel is less than half of the tank (the less, the better), dial on the handset phone *9#1#
to start the setting, and wait for over 10 seconds to proceed next step B
Feedback on LCD: fuel gauge on

b) Input the capacity of the tank by dialing *9#2CCCC#

e.g: if the capacity is 250L, please dial *9#22500# Feedback on LCD: vol:250.0 l
e.g: If the capacity is 234.5L, then dial *9#22345# Feedback on LCD: vol:234.5 l
In case of entering wrong capacity, you can re-enter to correct it

c) Fulfill the tank and remember the fuel amount added, and wait for over 10 seconds, please
dial *9#3LLLL# to input the fuel volume added
e.g if tank capacity is 250L, and when testing there is 50L (Less than half tank as required),
then please add 150 to make full tank, and dial *9#31500# Feedback on LCD: ADD:150.0 l

e.g if tank capacity is 150L, and when testing there is 51.3L (Less than half tank as required),
then please add 98.7 to make full tank, and dial*9#30987# Feedback on LCD: ADD:098.7 l
In case of entering wrong data, you can re-enter to correct it

d) Dial *9#4# to complete the setting

If you wish to stop setting during the above process, please dial *9#0#
Feedback on LCD: gauge detection over

4. Copy the parameters for same model vehicles

For the same model vehicles, no need to repeat the parameter settings. Simply read the parameter
from existing vehicle and copy it for the new vehicle.
a) Dial *9#91# to activate the fuel monitoring function
b) Dial *9#1# to start the setting
c) Dial *9#7# on the GPS unit already set with fuel parameters, so you will get its parameters in
format as FvvvvVVVVCCCC
d) Dial on new GPS device *9#8# FvvvvVVVVCCCC# to set the parameters. FvvvvVVVVCCCC is
the 13 digits that is read from the previous device

5. Parameter setting command list
