This is in continuation to BEE’s Alert dated 19" April, 2022 regarding the implementation of revised energy consumption standards for RAC wef. I July, 2022 notified in accordance with Amendment Notification published vide $.0. 4634 (E) dated 10" November, 2021. 2. Please note that the existing energy consumption standards of RAC are valid till 30" June, 2022 and the revised energy consumption standards will be applicable from 1* July, 2022 to 31° December, 2024. 3. Accordingly, the online portal has been activated for acceptance of the fresh applications/ label change applications as per the revised norms to be made effective from 1* July, 2022. 4, It may please be noted that the online portal presently accepts the applications as per both star rating table i.e. Table effective from 1" January, 2018 to 30" June, 2022 and Table effective from 1° July, 2022 to 31" December, 2024. 5. This advance window for registering as per the revised energy consumption standards (applicable from 1* July, 2022 to 31“ December, 2024) has been provided in accordance with the provisions of (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Room Air Conditioners) Regulations, 2017 for smooth transition to revised standards. 6. BEE is in process of issuing the approval letters as per revised energy consumption standards applicable from 1“ July, 2022.
