LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

In my capacity as an Assistant Professor at NIT Trichy, I would like to record the observations of my
student, Banavath Pavan, who is keen to pursue his PhD study at NIT Trichy, I have associated with him
for the past two years and taught him the subject “Geo-environmental engineering, Geosynthetics and
Earth retaining structures” in the 1st and 2nd semester. Hence, I am writing this letter of Recommendation
in Support of his admission.

He consistently exceeded in all areas in his coursework. He also has excellent communication skills which
are indicated during his M.Tech project presentation titled "Studies on composite ground modification
system of 3-dimentional cellular confinements supported over group stone columns" he is very
dedicated towards his work, and I am very much satisfied.

Apart from academics he also participated in all knowledge platforms like conferences, internships,
webinars on geotechnical engineering and improved his knowledge to become a good researcher. Now he
is planning to do his PhD on ground improvement technique area. To my knowledge he has done some
preliminary work at M.Tech level and now he is interested to do lot more work on this topic.

I am confident of his ability to succeed as a research student, and I strongly believe that he will scale the
highest peaks in the field. Hence, I recommend him in the strongest term for admission to a PhD program
at NIT Trichy. In conclusion, I am confidently say that Banavath Pavan possesses the right combination of
drive, intelligence, and interpersonal skills to meet the PhD program’s demands. Hence, I strongly
recommend his admission into NIT Trichy.
