I know that I know

1. If passionate/determined to become effective leader, one should restructure the inner self to
become an incredibly powerful self. Life Skills are the ones which educate and expose one to the
powerful inner self.

2. Following are the principles of paradigms embodied in the 8 habits.

I. To become a true leader, one must be proactive to take up responsibilities and initiatives.
II. Beginning with a determined vision with keeping the result in self’s mind. The End goal/result
must be graphically visualized and the values/outcomes must be exhibited.
III. One should have the ability to make decisions with integrity and prioritize the tasks and
perfectly execute them. In other words should have the capacity to put first things first.
IV. One must determine a solution where everyone benefits and where there is mutual respect and
benefit for all the participants involved.
V. Mutual understanding amongst people is the primary determinant to become a great leader. To
attain that, one must have the ability to understand initially, rather than being understood in
the first place.
VI. A creative cooperation being the synergy within the organization and every part of it plays a
key role bringing up a whole picture that is greater than the simple sum of its parts.
VII. A good leader must know when to sharpen the saw and how it would be relevant to recent
times. Renewal is a key factor for one’s growth.
VIII. One must first find their voice in the initial space and inspire others on that basis of
understanding and to find theirs in the last resort. This helps to unleash one’s inner potential
and vouch for their own self-worth.

3. The key determinant being the voice mentioned as the 8th habit refers to the mind, spirit,
heart, and body of an individual.

4. One has to identity the following to determine/discover their 8th habit – VOICE. The voice of
every individual is unique and different. Identifying them at self level and team level make them a
good leader.
 Digging up deep into one’s MIND will reveal what he/she is good at, or else being the inner
talent.

 The HEART of one will unleash what he/she wish/love to do or the act of passion.

 The BODY would determine what need does it serve for one.

 The SPIRIT would experiment regarding/upon, What is life asking of you? What is your
conscience saying to you?

5. The utmost aim of a leader should be achieving the wisdom which connects with the
humanity and ecosystem.

6. Sesmic or economic shifts includes the following:


 Globalization of markets and technology

 Democratization of information and expectations


 Universal connectivity
 Exponential increase in competition
 Wealth creation movement from Money to People
 Free agency i.e., “Knowledge” worker market
 Permanent whitewater

7. Upon comparing the old model with the new age model, it is understood that there is an
improvisation in various aspects make the society a better place with significant changes
in
 The leadership model being choices and self-aware decisions made with moral
authority.
 The management is more about empowering people than controlling them.
 The hierarchical structure is obsolete and there’s a more flexible, boundary-less
structure, instead of the traditional carrot and stick method there is a more internal
motivation model focusing person as a whole.
 Budgeting is also more flexible, and the voice of an individual is valued more than
ever with a strategic for all, complementary team model.

What have I learnt?

 My inner self to restructured or constructed to unlock my full potential to adapt to the


world to bring out revolutionary changes in the world.
 This helped me to learn how to unleash one’s voice following the principles of
paradigms embodied in the 8 habits.

 How wisdom benefits the society without any self- serving motives.

How will it impact me as a Manager/Executive?

 Will work in breaking out the trusting issues amongst the members of the team. Will
help to accomplish the individual goals rather than burdening/pestering them to work
to a greater extent accomplishing the organizational goals.
 Being a team lead/manager/executive, will determine to work on the vision, values,
wisdom ultimately which reveals the true potential of the inner self.
 With the newly found vision, I will impart my wisdom and work for the benefit of the
external ecosystem as well as my organization without greed.

What action do I need to take to implement these learnings?

 Unleashing the true potential of the inner self will be the first and foremost in my
agenda of work.
 The vision, wisdom, values determined would be specific towards achieving needs,
dreams, aim and goals either in personal or carrier being at individual level and will try
to impart the same with the group at large in the working environment.
