EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
The employee and the company share the responsibility in making the development plan.
They should involve in building an action plan that is useful to the future of the employees. The
development planning process affects not only the company’s future but also the employee’s
future career pathways. Also, it is important to identify the responsibilities of both parties to be
held accountable in the events that will be happening in the future.
In the company’s responsibility in the development planning process, they should be the ones
who will initiate the start of the process. Also, it is their responsibility of guiding its labor
resource not only improving the employee’s skills to suit the job requirement but also guiding
and preparing them in career development. They should prepare them for the higher level of
management because labor resources are not always permanent and someday the people in the
high-level management will leave the company soon for some reason. Building effective
performance management is one of the major responsibilities of the company in the planning
process. It contains the appraisal of the current job performance of the employee and it will give
an analysis on what abilities should the employee improve to obtain the target position.
