These are my 10 understanding that I got from trucking Industry classes:

 The freight transport covers around 86.17% (50.11% for Road and 36.06% for Rail) of
total while other modes cover only 13.83% in total share%.
 More than 75% of the truck owner owns 1 to 5 trucks, 15% owns 6 to 20 trucks and 10%
owns more than 20% trucks.

 One can adopt various type of models by seeing business model of different organization.
Like Rivigo adopted relay model from Indian railways.
 I learn that how important is the roadways in transportation sector and how it can boost
the GDP in the form of GVA.
 In Novire case it shows that how one can transform their business with the help of
technology.
 In Ispaat Parivahan Limited not only the service seeker, the service provider has also the
authority to charge a penalty if the fault was cause due to service seeker.
 In trucking sector, the main problem is return load many trucks return empty after
delivering the goods to the destination. The truck doesn’t get any return load.
 After providing the service the owner of the truck has to depend on the broker to get a
return load.
 The trucking sector is an unorganized sector. In trucking industry approximately 50%
driver are available i.e., in 1000 truck only 480 driver are available to drive the truck.s
