The Facts About Epoxy Grouting
1. Epoxy Grouts are going to cost more than Cement Grouts.
2. They’re designed for applications where Vibration, Impact or
Chemical Attack will be present.
3. You “do not” add water to Epoxy Grouts. (It doesn’t help them
flow better)
4. Epoxy Grouts are greatly affected by changes in temperature.
Even seemingly minor changes.
5. Some Epoxy Grouts are “Pumpable”.
6. Epoxy will stick to most things it gets on. I mean really stick.
7. The best form release for Epoxy Grout is Paste Wax. Multiple
coats work best.
8. Epoxy Grouts flow slower than Cement Grouts. So be patient.
9. Epoxy Grout has a “Grabbing” effect that limits the distance it can
flow.
10. Most Epoxy Grouts shrink. Make sure you use a “non‐shrink”
epoxy grout to insure contact with the equipment base. No
contact means your grout is worthless!
