2023: PDP TO PROVIDE LEVEL PLAYING GROUND FOR ASPIRANTS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Akwa Ibom State Chapter has
assured aspirants seeking to contest for various offices of level playing
ground in the forthcoming party primaries as the Party is open to all
hopefuls. The State Chairman of the Party, Elder Aniekan Akpan gave
the assurance, Monday, when a gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Albert
Bassey Akpan made a consultation visit to the Party in Uyo.

The State Party Chairman described PDP as a well-organised and unified

family that is focused on the right path to achieve laudable feats and
advised aspirants to embark on issue-based campaign to avoid rancor.

He cited the allegory of Abraham and Lot as recorded in Genesis 13:5-

13, stressing that Abraham and his nephew did not have issues with
each other, but their herdsmen exhibited unwholesome behavior. He
explained that supporters and followers should not create problems for
their respective principals.

Elder Akpan described Senator Akpan as “one of the finest” in the red
chamber who has made the State proud through quality representation.

Speaking earlier, Senator Bassey Akpan thanked the Party for the warm
reception accorded him and pledged to create enabling environment for
the development of the State if given the opportunity.
