It is a personal letter to daniel from his father expressing why he is so protective of daniel and tells him how he wants to protect him from a world full of distress and injustice. As the letter was published in the BBC news, it clearly makes a private letter public. By doing this the writer aims to enlighten both his son as well as the readers of the text. The author aims that the people should do everything to protect the precious lives of their children.
